Despite the cloudy weather, we had a great time at a beach up in Carlsbad. They’re a beachy/surfer family so it was obvious that we did their portrait session at the beach.
So cute.
Little M brought her favorite doll along for the photos.
Little M loved playing in the sand and getting wet.
Little M had the most amazingly blue eyes.
Andrea is a hula dancer, and just wanted to capture a few images of her dance.

Karen & Bill had a beautiful wedding atop the La Jolla Cove Suites on one of the only hot days in July.
The day began with Karen’s stunning dress.
The rooftop has an amazing view of the La Jolla Cove.
The wonderful Jane Quirin officiated their wedding (she did my wedding too, and is the sweetest person). Just let me know if you’d like her info.
Karen chose navy and pink as her wedding colors, and the La Jolla Cove Suites is all pink! So everything color coordinated.

One of my favorite parts of the hotel was this giant cement wall. Yup, that’s right, I loved this cement wall. It made for such a subtle beautiful background.
Just stunning. . . beauties. . . parasols. . . setting sun. . . what more could I have asked for?
Another fave. . . you can’t beat great smiles.

So, for Albert and my 1 year wedding anniversary (8/22) we went on a road trip to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. The weather was great and the sites were sooooo beautiful. Here are a few from the Canyon.

The next day we woke up early (and I’m NOT a morning person) for the sunrise, and it was totally worth it- so peaceful and beautiful.
Plus, I LOVE this image of Albert.

Back in July I had the pleasure of photographing Melanie and Ben’s intimate Coronado Beach wedding. Oddly enough in July the weather was cloudy and a bit cool, but the images we created are filled with love and warmth.
I love the soft muted palette we got because of the cloudy sky. It lens such a romantic, somewhat vintage feel to all the images.

Kim & Danny had a beautiful afternoon wedding at Shadowridge Country Club in Vista. Surrounded by friends & family they had a garden-setting ceremony.
They had a gorgeous ceremony site, in a nice private little garden.
Kim looked so stunning in her lace dress. I just love the soft romantic feel of these images with the warm setting sun.

Their wedding was one of my favorite’s of all time- they’re a great couple, and I LOVED the “look” of their wedding day.
Heidi and Zach chose to have their wedding at Harry Griffen Park in La Mesa. It’s a special place for them- they both grew up nearby and played there as children. The whole day was casual, low-key and filled with friends, family, and love. They had a beautiful ceremony in the park amphitheater, followed by a casual reception of mingling, and great food of burgers and fries.
Heidi chose a natural, vintage, fun style for her decor. She handmade over a hundred paper pinwheels, and created casual tabletops with jelly jars full of pinwheels and potted succulents.

Plus, look at the happiness on their face as their seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day.

My hubby and I purchased our first new car, a MAZDA5, which will be great for me hauling around camera gear.
I of course, being the pretty practical person I am, wanted silver- you don’t have to wash it as often for it to look good. But Albert already has a silver car, so now we have twin cars, which he’s a bit bummed about. Oh well.
Now, back to work for me. Gotta pay that car off somehow.

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Bill & Karen’s wedding at the great location of the La Jolla Cove Suites.
The rooftop ceremony was beautiful with a bright sunny sky, and a great view of the La Jolla Cove.
The wedding party was a beautiful bunch.
Bill and Karen looked HOT!!!!
As the sun was setting, and getting soft and warm, we grabbed these few shots of Karen with her parasol- just beautiful!
These little lookout gazebos on the Cove are so fun for photos.

Karen & Bill were simply amazing in these photos, it was a great celebration of a couple that is awesome, and I wish them the best always…thanks for sharing these wonderful photos, but with the both of them it’s really hard to get a great shot they look spectacular together and the joy they shared in this wonderful day really was apparent in them both!!!
Back in May, some friends and us went camping, and of course I had to do a little photos session with the beautiful scenery and our gorgeous friends- Rebecca & Austin.
